ROY LICHTENSTEIN AT ANDIPA GALLERY
Throughout March Andipa Gallery presents an exciting exhibition of paintings, works on paper and rare prints by Roy Lichtenstein to coincide with the artist’s major retrospective currently exhibiting at Tate Modern.
Alongside Lichtenstein they are showing selected works from his contemporaries Andy Warhol and Tom Wesselmann. Together, these artists were instrumental and groundbreaking in their technique and approach to contemporary art in the 1960s, breaking from the tradition of abstract expressionism and adopting commercial and popular culture as their subject matter.
