  The V&A Reading Rooms     21st December 2010

Picture1

Winter is made for curling up with a good book. And where better to do so than in the intimate surroundings of the V&A Reading Rooms? If a constantly changing range of over 1,000 titles is not enough to tempt you, then how about a glass of wine and a snack to accompany your book?

The Reading Rooms bring an intriguing new concept to Exhibition Road: the bookstore-cum-wine bar. The V&A bookshop already had a reputation for stocking an authoritative selection of books on art and design, all of which are available at the Reading Rooms. You can browse – glass in hand – new categories including biography, fiction and history, as well as out-of-print, vintage and early editions.

The man behind the carefully chosed wine list and delicious menu is Dunca Ackery, who has previously created successful restaurants at the Tate.
