SKE supports In Search Of Alchemic Times

As part of SKE’s commitment to supporting art and design in and around Brompton, the beautiful jewellery shop at 235 Brompton Road will host a mystical exhibition called ”In Search of Alchemic Times’ by RCA tutor, Cecilia Wee.
In Search of Alchemic Times is an exhibition that brings together ten artists working with installation, text, sculpture, drawing, performance and moving image to explore notions of transformation, decay and regeneration, examining how commonplace resources are reconfigured or repurposed to conjure up new utopias. Occupying a former Victorian jewellery shop, the crystal is a central reference point for the exhibition – its position as an object of value is symptomatic of an economically precarious age, its robust formation illustrates conversion and collaboration of materials. As well, the crystal holds much importance for Gilbert Simondon’s philosophy of individuation, a structure that connects the sand grain to the cosmos. Featuring: Aura Satz, Charlesworth, Lewandowski & Mann, Jennifer Walshe, Liliane Lijn, Nathan Witt, Peter Lewis and Makiko Nagaya, Rowena Harris, Steven Ounanian, Tom Badley, Unrealised Projects. The exhibition is curated by Cecilia Wee.
